🙂 I can more than sympathize -- "medical scandal" and "junk science" indeed. "gender" and, in particular", "gender identity" is, as a system of personality types, hardly better than phrenology and astrology, than chinese fortune cookies.
Maybe the worst part of it is the rot and corruption that transgenderism has wrought, so to speak, in so many of our legal, educational, and scientific institutions. So many of us have been so right for so long (I was late to the being right party by only publicly arriving in 2018). But this one comes with little pleasure, only tears of relief sometimes when some horrid child mangling policy gets rolled back here or there.
I am glad that this is finally getting the coverage and attention.
But I will be upset for a long time that homophobia and misogyny can wrap around childhood medicine so easily that we can end up with the current mess.

The great feature of this era is that everyone's actions are on the record, their gleeful and triumphalist crowing on twitter etc has been recorded for the ages. Their guilt will be known to all.
It’s annoying isn’t it. I felt I was crazy for a while when I was told what was happening wasn’t happening. Now it turns out to rationalise their previously incorrect beliefs those who told me it wasn’t happening now don’t care as it’s apparently such a negligible percentage of the population. The same negligible percentage that they once told me needed this care and help and that at the very least I should “use their pronouns”. That’s the problem with being right in such horrid situations - those who are wrong will never ever admit they supported child abuse and homophobia. How could you when you see yourself as such a virtuous individual?

Yes yes yes. It’s also got by because of name calling (bigot, transphobe, etc)
