The Unspeakable Evil of '/r/dykeconversion'
Apparently, corrective rape fetish fantasies are fine, but lesbian-only spaces are not, on the Advance Publications-owned social media site, one of the largest in the world.
(Content warning: I don’t usually post trigger or content warnings, as I don’t really believe in them. However, there is some absolutely disgusting content on display here and I’m giving you a fair warning in advance. Most of this made me feel sick, and I’m very desensitized. You may not be.)
Any lesbian who has used Reddit for anything vaguely related to their sexual orientation knows the status quo: you can’t be a lesbian. Absolutely not. If you dare suggest that being a lesbian involves being a biological female only attracted to other biological females, even if you express that in a ‘queer-coded’, passive aggressive manner, such as “I think cis lesbians should have a space only for cis lesbians on this website, why is that a bad thing?”, you will be harangued by some man who’s pee-pee you made sad at best, sent death threats and banned off a slew of other, unrelated subreddits at worst, for ‘transphobia’.
The major LGBT, but particularly the lesbian subreddits (Reddit’s term for a forum/message board) are mostly run by and for men - ‘/r/actuallesbians’ is filled to the brim with men claiming to be lesbians and often features them writing about their autogynephilic fetish at length. Better not mention the real meaning of lesbian there. ‘/r/lesbianfashionadvice’ is also full of men fetish-posting, including ‘non-binary bearded femmes’.
In fact, ‘/r/lesbians’ is the only place where men pretending to be lesbians are banned. That is because ‘/r/lesbians’ is a sub for men to post lesbian pornography. If it involves a man jerking off, suddenly lesbians are actually women. If it involves women wanting to discuss being a lesbian amongst themselves, all the moderators of their subreddit need to be men, and they need to be banned for saying that lesbianism doesn’t involve a penis in any way, shape or form.
Actual lesbians tried retreating to smaller forums, such as ‘r/truelesbians’, only to be banned for posting hateful content, along with other forums such as ‘/r/gendercritical’. Now what does exist that is mostly lesbian-only has to tip toe on eggshells, wary of upsetting men who claim to be lesbians, lest their discussion spaces on Reddit - one of the worlds largest social media sites - be banned for hateful conduct.
I tell you this, because apparently posts like this, on a subreddit called ‘/r/dykeconversion’ are acceptable:
/R/dykeconversion claims to be for ‘saphhic' people, but the vast majority of it’s posts appear to be autogynephilic male-to-female identifying men.
/r/dykeconversion is a subreddit for lesbians and adjacent queer people to explore nonconsensual fantasies about men and being "turned straight." This is purely a kink and fantasy community and in no way condones real world corrective rape or conversion or tolerates support for them. My quest for screenshots was somewhat obscured by the fact that the many of posts on that subreddit are particularly vile pornography, abused women used in depictions of abusing women. One quick glance at some of the video content had me feeling faintly ill, at titles like:

After some criticism and a petition from horrified lesbians, these revolting creatures have moved to a new subreddit called ‘r/SapphicSexualityPlay’ which describes itself thus

‘Sapphic people’ is generally code for men and bisexuals. This is a forum where revolting men can post revolting screeds where they fantasize about committing hate crimes.

I’m not going out on a limb to say these are men - their posting style, content, and the use of ‘sapphic’, a word mostly used by autogynephilic men screams to me these are men. These are not ‘lesbians exploring a kink’. They are disgusting men posting disgusting corrective rape fantasies that go on for pages and pages, and pages:

However, it’s all allowed on reddit. A subreddit exclusively for actual, biologically female lesbians is not:
There’s a change.org petition here that unfortunately has received little coverage. You can sign it - it’s rare that a change.org petition manages to achieve their goals. I suggest that instead, pressure be put upon the owners of Reddit - they’re a major corporate. Reddit’s owners include Advance Publications, who own 30%, TenCent, who owns 11%, and Sam Altman of OpenAI, who owns 9%. Do they condone this sort of material? Does Sam Altman, a gay man, think that his lesbian sisters should not be able to post about their experiences without bans or death threats on the major social media site he owns a 9% stake in? Does Steve Huffman, CEO of Reddit, think this is acceptable? It’s the current state of their website, so I assume they do, in fact, think that the rampant lesbophobia on their website is fine. I’ve linked their social media profiles; maybe we should ask.
How on earth is hosting this kind of material acceptable in any fashion on a major social media site? Apparently lesbians being lesbians is awful hate speech, but actual pornographic hate material is A-Okay ‘kinkplay’, or something. No kinkshaming! It’s disgusting, misogynist, and vile. The fact that Advance Publications consents to host this material shows that one of the largest media companies in the world thinks that corrective rape is acceptable. Lesbian hatred is fine. Homophobia is back in style, because as long as it’s someone’s fetish, it’s fine.
That’s not a homophobic double standard, or anything.
You can argue ‘freedom of speech’ - I’m certainly a big believer in the freedom of speech. But right now, lesbians don’t have ‘freedom of speech’ on the one of the world’s largest discussion forums, worth billions of dollars, while fetishistic men posting vile corrective rape fantasies thinly veiled as ‘orientation play’ are ‘valid’ and freely able to post. There’s also a different between ‘freedom of speech’ and posting detailed fantasies about committing sexual assault and rape - which are serious crimes. In this case, they’d be hate crimes.
I’m sure Reddit would ban a forum of people posting fantasies about being serial killers. Why not serial rapists? Why is it OK to post seriously detailed fantasies of committing hate crimes against lesbians while lesbians posting ‘lesbians don’t have a dick or anything to do with them’ is hateful conduct??????!!!!!
If you are going to make judgements on what is and what isn’t hate speech on your website, you open yourself up to articles such as these. If ‘truelesbians’ is hate speech, why the fuck are hate crime fantasies OK?
You can only conclude that Reddit, and the people that control it, hate lesbians, and probably women in general, to their core. That’s the only possible reason that ‘truelesbians’ is banned, and forums like ‘Dykeconversion’, ‘SapphicSexualityPlay’, ‘SayNoToBlackBoyss’ ‘RapeKink’, ‘Misogyny_xxx’, ‘DEGRADEnOBJECTIFY’, ‘RapeWorld’, ‘RapeFantasty’ RapeFantasies2’, ‘abusedgirls’ ‘TitTorture’, ‘MisogynyGoneWild’, ‘forcedbreeding’, ‘PunishedFTM’, ‘WhiteWorld’, ‘FuckingEvil’, ‘womenSupportMisogyny’, ‘BleachedIndians’, ‘White Dominance’ ‘Raceplay’ ‘DomesticSlave’, ‘FemaleAssistedRape’, ‘womenarethings’ ‘DegradeThisCunt’, ‘Femaleorgasmdenial’, ' and ‘rape_hentai’ are OK.
I repeat: on Reddit, the following statements are true:
Saying that lesbians are biological females exclusively sexually attracted to other biological females, in a discussion forum - Hateful, must be banned.
Men posting thesis-length corrective rape fantasies about lesbians, and other hate crimes, not to mention all that shit I listed above - Celebrating kink and freedom of speech, dammit.
Not to mention Reddit’s two definitions of a lesbian:

Lesbians for men to jerk off to: Biological females who have sex only with other biological females.
Do the owners of Reddit think the state of things is OK? Do the vast majority of users? Inaction amounts to complicity in this case. Do they want to be complicit in lesbophobia? Do they want to be complicit in men posting about committing hate crimes? Apparently they do. Apparently the needs of men claiming to be lesbians are more important than the actual lesbians.

Porn subreddits are the only subreddits that are allowed to openly exclude trans "women". They know what a woman is when they're jerking off. All subreddits like /r/truelesbians have been banned, but subreddits like /r/DegradingHoles - which has more than a million subscribers - are allowed to openly proclaim themselves "cis women only" and ban TIMs. You're only allowed to acknowledge what women are in the context of degrading, abusing, and dehumanizing them. Exactly what I would expect from Reddit, which is one of the most putrid, worthless fecal stains on the internet and always has been.

I've been a Lesbian Separatist since 1972 because I love Lesbians, and men are disgusting and dangerous, but what is even more upsetting than all the evil they do is that so many women and Lesbiand are helping them. I will never understand why, but then women line up to marry serial rapists/killers who are in prison, like Ted Bundy.
