Also, I don't consider them really mentally ill because can they be if they are the vast majority of men who are on a continuum with the other men who happily harass Lesbians and other women saying we want it, like it, like them, etc. I guess any way that seems to let them off the hook worries me (if mentally ill, poor things can't help themselves). I want them all held accountable.
Sorry, I forgot to add that my main objection to calling these predatory men "mentally ill" is that is their main defense after murdering Lesbians. And then they are put into women's prisons, where they terrorize more Lesbians and women.
Where I live in the Bay Area, it can be very hard to find out how many of these men are murdering women because the media simply calls them "women," even when they are seen running around naked afterward the murder, with witnesses telling the police that they saw his prick and testicles -- like the "transwoman" who drove the wrong way on a freeway and killed a woman in a car he hit. I figured this out only after seeing his smiling photo in the news and knew it was a man, so then dug through eyewitness accounts. But he's still listed as a "woman."
I believe that the reason these men have gotten access to every last thing Lesbians and women had was because the other men in power want this to be an option for them too. It used to be a joke in the Seventies when we still had Lesbian bars and leering men would come in and say they wanted to be Lesbians too, wink, wink.

I really appreciate your articles and this one specifically. Been watching transactivism as a daily fascination since about 2015 and there is a very big focus on the damage autogynephiles are doing to the gay & lesbian rights movement, for good reason. But some of the trans-identified females, including ones who identified as lesbians, have been just as destructive as activists. And this current generation that really had no history with the lesbian community, unlike the Gen Xers who transitioned are setting up to be much worse. They don’t have to bother hiding their contempt for women’s role in society, or feign concern for their needs. Some of the destructive activists I’ll list (plenty more) are Jake Payne who libeled Ken Zucker, Stephen Whittle who seems to argue against gender fraud laws and for other issues that hurt women and gay people, Shannon Minter who destroyed the National Center for Lesbian Rights whose main job is to put sex offenders in women’s jails and push kiddie transing, and Chase Strangio, who is at least bisexual, if she wasn’t a lesbian before transition, and Evan Urquhart, who is a very screwed up individual, a horrible and smarmy “journalist,” and blatant male chauvinist. What these women have done is far more dystopian and disturbing to me. I’d love to see you do a write up on what they’ve done to us after they cried on our shoulders and had us comfort them for being so sad about their dysphoria, before they helped manipulate us all into destroying our own legitimate rights movement and anything that was healthy, pro woman, and supportive about our community.
this is a wonderful article. the two "lesbian" subreddits on reddit are filled with heterosexual men discussing "normalizing trans women's bodies" constantly. i'm sure you've heard of the "her" app, the "lesbian" dating app that encourages violence against women and lesbians. this, along with the actual lesbians calling themselves "trans men" and going on testosterone...i might just stay single forever.
Thank you for articulating what so many of us feel. I agree with most everything you said. But, I think only about half of them are mentally ill. Some are homophobic misogynistic mean entitled men.
Lesbians do not have to cater nor validate no consider men who claim to be lesbians. men have claimed all women are bisexual and that he is a lesbian - and clothing and possible castration does not improve that claim
