Don't tell me you buy into the whole "Ivermectin is for horses" mythology. Or is this just bad satire? in which case who is it for?

Good job. Also, gender affirming surgical "care" has a disturbingly high rate of followup surgeries. And it's not just fertility that is lost, but in many cases, sexual function, also something that a child cannot make an informed decision about.

Good article spoiled by Ivermectin and vaccine analogy. It is unnecessary.

I have had two friends who are trans, and know other friends who are gay. They are OK in who they are. In the gay communities of which I'm aware, they are some 10% or less of the population. Finding a partner has been difficult for most of them. The two trans were males who present as females. They have been rejected by most of the gay community despite being gay themselves (IMHO). They are even more isolated in terms of partners and are but a fraction of the gay community.

The very notion that teens even know who they are is absurd. They simply pickup on trends and during the awkward hormonal time are easily confused regarding their feelings. Modelling their opposites has always been a part of growing up, more with some than others. Teen cruelty toward each other is common - in/out groups form and collapse in that time of angst. Adults interfering with that process are doing a great disservice to them. They have enough time to discover themselves, allow them that time.

As a society I think we are tolerant to a degree about others' lifestyles. The military has long accepted gay servicemen just as long as they stayed below the radar. My boss back in 1965 was a Captain and we knew he was gay. We left that alone in that it didn't affect what we were doing. I was sympathetic, in fact, given my ease at finding partners. I appreciated that he was quite creative at many tasks and having such a mind around us, I found positive.
